What’s the most important thing to Intouch as a firm, when working with limited company contractors?
Without doubt the relationships our personal accountants build with their clients is the most important thing to us here at Intouch. Our expert knowledge and ability to provide contractor specific services are what initially attracts our clients as they have everything they need in one package. However, it’s that direct line to their Intouch personal accountant who knows the client, their circumstances and goals on a personal level which sets our service apart from other accountants.
We’re constantly reviewing client feedback and adapting our services to ensure it includes absolutely everything a limited company contractor could need from a tax and accounting point of view. Our IR35 support services are testament to this; we now offer all IR35 reviews and guidance and the ability to switch between umbrella and limited as part of our all-inclusive service at no extra cost. This ability to adapt and offer true value, coupled with our personalised service is what makes Intouch Accounting stand out.
Do you have any general advice for contractors who are thinking about starting out for the first time?
Speak to a specialist contractor accountant! It might sound a little predictable coming from an accountant, but they can offer so much more than just the usual tax and VAT advice. From how to get going and interpreting legislation, to maximising your take home pay and ensuring you’re making the most from your money, a specialist accountant can offer so much advice and support throughout your contracting journey.
What type of accountancy software do you provide / platforms you support?
Here at Intouch we have our own in-house built cloud-based platform, giving you 24/7 access to your accounts. With the ability to record your accounts back data, claim expenses, raise invoices and record any mileage, the Intouch portal allows you to see where you’re accounts are, at any time.
The homepage displays your personal company expenses and taxes, and provides a handy checklist to show whether your salary and taxes have been paid. It only takes around 15 minutes per month to update, and your Intouch personal accountant has access to your account so they’re able to see where you’re at.
We also support Freeagent, should our clients wish to use their online accounting software.
Do you specialise in accounting for limited company contractors?
Yes, we specialise in providing accounting services for limited company contractors. We also help those limited company contractors who may have been told due to the IR35 changes that they need to work Umbrella for the remainder of the contract. Our Flex product allows contractors to seamlessly switch between Limited and Umbrella working as and when needed, all for the same Limited monthly cost.
Is your firm a member of any relevant organisations?
Intouch Accounting is accredited member of the FCSA, which is recognised as the industry’s compliance gold standard.
Only service providers which have been independently audited by top industry experts to confirm they conform to a rigorous Code of Compliance are awarded FCSA standard accreditation.
How long has your firm been operating?

What size is your firm?
